玉壶轩 @ 茨厂街

20th July 2008...

今天Luna约了她的英国同事Cione吃早餐。Cione来吉隆坡还不到三个礼拜，她有很喜欢吃中式菜，所以Luna决定带她去试一试马来西亚道地的中式菜。

振鸿小时候来过这个玉壶轩，印象满深刻。最近又听到许多大老板的推荐，所以决定再亲自上门，品赏玉壶轩的早市点心。


点心是用手推车送上的。


挑战振鸿的地方来了，识认点心的名字。振鸿会给不知名的上自己想象的名字。

酥炸奶油面包卷 - 是道甜的点心。75分。



酥炸肉碎手榴弹 - 外酥内Q又充满肉香，好吃。85分。



弹口鱼滑 - 正如其名，很弹口。80分。



鼓汁蒸排骨 - 还蛮好吃。85分。



萝卜糕 - 炸得刚刚好，很软，又够虾米香。90分！



烧卖 - 绞肉及瘦肉掺拌刚刚好，又溢满了香菜味。一口吃下肚，即刻成为振鸿吃过最好吃的烧卖！95分！



叉烧包



每样点心送上了，大快朵颐去！（流口水）



非常值得一提的叉烧包。第一口咬下去，叉烧香就好像图里的内陷一样呼之欲出，第二口咬下去，面包与叉烧汁融合在一块，感觉清爽又开怀，口感一级棒。95分！



香菇汁猪肠粉,这一道就麻麻desu。


最后想吃一些甜的。老板娘介绍这酥炸芝麻丸。“甜的比较适合西方人的口味。”老板娘真是厉害抓老外的心。
Cione吃了过后说：“感觉怪怪的，但还蛮有趣。”80分。


以上全部点心加上一壶铁观音，才RM28。KL好吃又便宜的餐馆，振鸿找到了。

松记文良港潮州餐室饼家

19th July 2008...

Luna迷恋番薯叶，aMei迷恋鱼饼，CH迷恋福建面。二话不说，马上出发去Setapak的文良港潮州餐室饼家。
啊！太饿了，忍不住开快车，结果中了麻打发超速罚单。大家要注意哦，在Kepong去Batu Caves的路。



鱼饼来了！


各位kiasu king争着吃，因为太好吃了。鱼饼用西刀鱼弄的。够Q又够鲜甜。


炒福建面。好吃，因为猪油下得够多。95分！
（照片失焦，之后经过Photoshop filter，把他弄成发光效果，像是“福建面神”下凡）


看见很多人吃，自己也叫来吃-干炒米粉。猪油也下得够多，米粉干干的，但是好吃。85分！


鱼丸汤。鱼丸够软够鲜够弹性，汤下过冬菜。好吃！90分！


清炒番薯叶。炒得番薯叶够滑够嫩够香，全都掌握到了，不简单。90分！


东西不够吃，叫了焖伊面。这一道就麻麻，mama desu ne... 60分。


可以试一下他们卖的饼，都还蛮不错。


发现老板娘正在弄寿桃，拍下来先。




全部我们五个人（还有阿阳及慧君姐）包括一壶茶王，总共RM78。贵，但是还是很多人光赏，因为有了相当的名气。

Tin Kei teow chew Soup & Porridge

6th April 2008...

Today was a lazy sunday. Luna, Ah Mei, and CH hungry and felt like eating some soups.

CH immediately brought them to the Tin Kei teow chew soup & porridge shop at Subang SS14. CH been to this shop before with his bosses. And the dishes in this shop taste good, and got the homemade feeling.

1) The hakka abacus - Made of yam, shitake musgroom, dried shrimp, and dried sotong.


2) Salted Veetable soup


3) Bitter Grout soup


4) Try the shop's specialty : Yam rice

And enjoy this lunch with 茶王(literally "king of tea" which is a kind of chinese tea). What a wonderful lunch in a lazy sunday.

Total for all above cost them RM46.50 inclusive of 4 yam rices.

Ah Lai Fish Head Curry

20th April 2008.....

Today morning, CH and gang went to fishess gang house to help them move house. After spending so much energy in moving house, CH brought the gang to the famous curry fish head chinese restaurant - Ah Lai (亚来). CH was introduced to this restaurant by his food-adventurous boss.

CH ordered several dish and these are some good one:
Stir Fried Kangkung in Belancan


Fish Head Curry - their signature dish. CH will saliva"ing" when think of taste this curry.


Thegrill wrapped salted chicken and chinese herbal. - They did it better than the one in Ipoh.


Asam Prawn - The taste of the asam sauce really fantastic!


Steamed fish with ginger slice.


How hungry were everybody and how good was the food? You can figure it out from the photo people snatching the food.

White Tom Yam Steam Fish in Seapark, PJ

26 February 2008...

After having so much of the heavy meaty and heaty food, CH and Luna decided to take a light dinner. They thought of Steamfish Immediately.

There's one famous steamfish restaurant in Sea Park, PJ. The restaurant is just next to the Giant Hypermart. CH couldn't recall the name of the restaurant. Once he recalled it, he will update this post.

That night CH had the steamed garoupa in white tom yam soup. The tom yam soup was sufficiently flavoured. The big garoupa was cut into several pieces which will allow more flavour from the fish mixed into the soup. CH loves this steam fish.


With another two stir fried vegetable, two fruit juice and three rice, the bill is RM50.00. It is quite reasonable.

Lucky Restaurant at Pantai Cenang in Langkawi

22 February 2008…..

The TTT big gang went to Langkawi today morning. It is a panic trip since everybody especially Eddy rushing from KK to check in the flight to Langkawi. The counter already closed. It is very luckily that Eddy manage to check in himself.

After casual eating and shopping in Kuah Town(buying cheap cheap tax free liquor), and rest at the 4-star Hotel Helang(quite good actually), TTT gang went to Pantai Cenang area to hunt for dinner.

There’re long row of shops and restaurants along the street by Pantai Cenang. TTT decided to go into this restaurant and has a try.

Ah Yang posting in front of Lucky Restaurant.(but he wasn't lucky that night, ngek ngek ngek!)


First dish, the big sea shell cook with gravy and dry chilli. The meat of the shell is varying from part to part. Some part very nice to bite and tasteful, but some isn’t.


Second is the Hot Plate Japanese Tou-fu. A normal Chinese dish.


Third is the Deep Fried Squid. The squid is nicely fried. The skin is crunchy and the meat is soft.

Forth is the Green Curry Chicken. The curry is good! But the chicken chest meat is disappointing. It is overcooked!


Everybody love the final dish, the Bangkok Style steam fish, the steamed Silver pomfret fish in SUPER spicy spice soup.


All the above dish plus two big jug of Chinese tea and one stir fried mix vegetable cost RM230. It is reasonable, and good for big group of family or friends to dine out.

Furby Birthday @ King Crab

12 February 2008...

Tomorrow is Furby(from Fishies Gang) birthday. We decided to celebrate her birthday at the King Crab @ Kelana Jaya, and sambil perform a lou-sang for Chinese New Year.

Here is the 7-colored yu-sang. Chinese believe after performing lou-sang(mix all the ingredient terrificly) will bring good luck to the person who "lou" it.


King Crab theme dish is the crab, so we don't much about other thing except this deep fried egg-plant strongly recommended by CH.


Here is the sweet-sour sauce crab. Please order extra bun to dip with the sauce.

Next crab is the butter cream crab in Hotpot. Please order extra to dip with the butter cream sauce also. Anyway, CH rated the crab here ok only. May be CH didn't order the crab they specialize in.

After dinner, CH and gang went to Woody house to gamble until countdown for Furby birthday.
