6 to 10 Grill (again)

17th Dec 2009...

Please don't mind for posting "6 to 10 Grill" again, and again. Coz it's always been our favourite place to dine with group of friends. The food is cheap and delicous, and what we favour the most is the cheap corkage charge - RM 5 per bottle of wine.

And I've took this occassion to test out my new Tamron 17-50(no VC). The lens was sharp and fast, though abit noisy when auto-focusing. All pics' colour and sharpness are untouched. Most of the pics taken by Tamron 17-50, except some with strong "bokeh" was taken by ah Kit's 50mm 1.4D.

What we usually do is grab a bottle of wine from the neayby's Cold Storage(Jaya One).
Flinder's Choice, RM32.90, always been CH's favourite, it is cheap, but produce decent taste. It is Cold Storage's house brand, you can only find it at Cold Storage wine section. You may try Chardonnay from Flinder's Choice, It has been CH's favourite as well.


CH's order : Medium Rare Sirloin Steak - RM 19.90. The steak was a soft and juicy one. What more can we ask for at the price? What CH doesn't like is the fried egg.

Ah Kit's New Zealand's Lamb Chop with mint sauce. Believe me, they've done it better than most of the franchising steak house. Because of that, ah Kit still feeling hungry after finishing this "American" sized lamb chop.

Fork & Spoon

2nd July 2008...

Tonight not having any games nor dinner with friends. CH was thinking of what and where to have our dinner....

Dataran Sunway @ Kota Damansara should be a nice place to hunt for dinner. There're lot of new restaurant opened up there. And it will be quite interesting to slowly explore all the restaurant there.

"This one should be good, I have seen it in newspaper." said CH.
There they went into this restaurant. The Fork & Spoon


From the description in the newspaper, Fork & Spoon is a kopitiam style restaurant providing non-halal food. The decoration of this restaurant makes CH feel disappointed. Hopefully their food won't makes CH feels the same.

Luna's Iced Honey Lemon Juice


Sueh Mei's Belacan Fried Rice. Just another ordinary Belacan Fried Rice. 55 CH-pts.


Worth mentioning. The kind restaurant serving the soup F.O.C.


Luna ordered Lamb Chop. CH would say it was special to CH & Luna. CH guessed it cooked with Cranberry sauce. 70 CH-pts.


CH had this Oak Grilled Pork. The pork chop taste special, and CH really love the vegetables surrounding the Pork. 75 CH-pts

MaMa CHOPS PaPa GRILL

11th June 2008...

Today CH sending cheevuithebear to Subang airport for his flight on 9.20pm.
Due to Eddy & Woody incident happening before and after Langkawi trip, CH and gang never be last minute to the airport already.

For double safety, CH suggest to have dinner opposite of the airport.
There they went to this MaMa CHOPS PaPa GRILL just right opposite the airport.
This chain-restaurant recommended by D1CK after dining with him at 6 - 10 Grill, Sec 17 PJ.


The sky appeared in nice reddish. Thanks cheevuithebear for noting CH.


Xiong (cheevuithebear) order the Chicken chop with mushroom sauce @ RM 9.90 - 3/5 stars.
CH marinated chicken still ok for CH, but Luna and Xiong both didn't like it.
Note to restaurateur: The coleslaw already expired.


Luna ordered the Lamb Chop at RM 16.90 - 2/5 stars.
The lamb chop lousily done, tasteless, and overcooked.

Luckily this Spring Chicken order by CH tastes good! It deserves 4/5 stars!
The spring chicken is 22 days-old spring chicken meat is soft, elastic and come in "one-piece-one-piece"(一块一块). @ RM 14.90


For CH point of view, this western food restaurant selling food at cheap price, but only some of the food taste good here, like the Spring Chicken.

It will be attracting if someone know what's their specialties here and only order their specialties.

Rererevisit with Woody and Wendy

3 April 2008....

CH revisited this all-time favourite local western food: 6-10 Grill @ Happy Mansion, PJ Sec 17 with Woody and Wendy(CH& Woody ex-housemate, cute and kind fellow) for final meet up before Woody back to Terrenganu.

Wendy had this fish and chips. Not really recommended by CH. It is just a normal ordinary fish & chips.


CH had this medium done sirloin steak again @ RM17. At this price, it is very worthful to have this steak. The restauranteur did some upgrade in their plate, last time there didn't have the fried egg. Anyway, CH thinks the fried egg is just a wastage. It didn't taste good, and not matching the steak CH having.


Luna had this special red wine lamb chop! (@ RM34). It taste better than then N.Z. Lamb Steak although the NZ Lamb Steak already taste so good. The red wine lamb steak served in a very BIG portion. Next time CH would think to share this plate with Luna.

Pizza Wood

30 March 2008....

CH was grateful that Woody had prepare CH and frenz a Pizza-ful breakfast(or lunch) the next morning after the "farewell & birthday" party.

The chicken with tomato sauce pizza done by woody. Looks not bad ya! Also taste not bad.


The pizza in variety of shapes.


After having this "not bad" pizza breakfast, we suggested woody to open one pizza shop named "Pizza Wood", major competitor will be Pizza Hut. Ngek ngek ngek!

6 to 10 Grill and Nasi Lemak

Today, a very old friend of CH, Dick comes to have dinner with him. CH decide to bring him to the famous, yet cheap western food restaurant, 6 – 10 Grill and Nasi Lemak @ Happy Mansion, Section 17 PJ.

CH was brought to this restaurant for first time by his dear, Luna, on 5 Nov 2006. Once CH tasted the steak and Nasi Lemak over there, CH already fell in love to it, to the steak and nasi lemak. Thanks to Luna.

Luckily Dick is a amateur photographer. Thanks to Dick for his courtesy for taking such a nice photo of the food using his SLR, Canon 40D.

3) Norwegian Salman Steak with Garlic Sauce. Garlic Sauce is a must try.


4) Grill Pork Chop with Pineapple sauce. CH’s favourite. If you prefer bigger portion and better meat, please order Grill Pork Rib.


5) Beer is a must to drink together with meaty food.


6) CH looks so happy after eating the food(and paying the bill) at 6 -10 grill.

Overall, the food at 6 - 10 Grill is better than average western food restaurant, except the side order, which is not recommended by CH. All the food above plus 2 small SKOL beers and 1 Lime juice, the bill is RM52. It is cheap, worth for money.
