Big Apple Doughnut
11th June 2008...
Again, another donuts hunting at Big Apple.
CH think the donuts selling at this Big Apple not require any explantion from CH. The long queue at the shop explained lot of things.
And actually CH just tried out their durian donuts. The durian mixed into a creamy and flavourful form and wrapped inside the donuts. Can have a try!

Miki Ojisan - Cheese Cake
1st June 2008....
Tonight CH and sampat(38) gang will be having surprise birthday with Woody. So CH decided to share with the gang and buy a cheese cake to make the party more wonderful.
As everybody know, Miki Ojisan at Bangsar Village is Woody and Pei Shin(Woody's gf) favourite(recommended by Woody's sis, Semantha SSS). So without any hesitattion, CH just bought the cheese cake from this shop.
Here're some pic taken at the shop:
Here're the cake selling at the shop, actually the inside of the cake is just the same for all the cakes, the different is just the dressing.

Finally CH bought this one: The strawberry cream dressing with fresh cream cheese cake @ RM49.
And after eating it CH found that this cake is actually a very light and fresh cheese cake, it is not like a ordinary cheese cake. The structure of the cake is very light density, soft and creamy. A measurement of it's lightness: If CH can finish a slice of ordinary cheese cake, CH could probably finish half of the whole fresh cheese cake from Miki Ojisan.

今天想着明晚要拿什么Cheese Cake配Kit仔送的意大利的甜气泡白葡萄酒。
想Collect一些意见from朋友。
开始时只sms亲爱的Luna，Tynn与Furby。
她们回了之后，突然想跟更多人的意见，看大家对Cheese Cake在KL的了解有多少。

CH decided to buy cheese cake for tomorrow sparkling wine party at （振鸿决定买）SS15 beside Public Bank(recomended by Dick & Hiong) since it is near to CH office and CH love this unknown type of shop. Their piece of work will always surprise. 这一些小小的店往往它们很给我们想不到的惊喜。

Gong Ho Tong 恭和堂
9th February 2008....
After tiring trip back from Hanoi, and hot weather in Malaysia, CH and family went to have this Gong Ho Tong turtle "shell" Jelly specialty shop to have the Turtle Shell Jelly @ RM5 per bowl while they were doing their shopping at The Mines Shopping Centre. This outlet is one of the branch from their "HQ" in Petaling Street.
FYI, this jelly is one of CH's favourite dessert. It is really refreshing to have this in a heaty weather and body. Honey was provided at every table.

The Loaf in Langkawi
23 February 2008…
When TTT gang driving to the Langkawi Geopark(where the cable car is), they pass by The Loaf Japanese bakery shop founded by their former prime minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir. TTT been hearing that the bread in this shop is excellent. So, with any delay, they stop their car and rush into The Loaf.
The Mediterranean styled interior of the shop.
Can really remember the name of all the bakeries selling there. Anyway, every piece of the bakeries there are worth to try.

The bakeries selling in this shop are around RM3.00-8.00. It is little bit expensive than other shops, but it is worth trying. They have another outlet in Pavilion, KL.

Shih Lin Taiwan Snack and Big Apple Doughnut @ One-U

Before CH and his dear going to cinema, his dear suggests to take Shih Lin Taiwan Snack as dinner.
Shih Lin Taiwan Snack is a small fast food stall at One-U old wing(in front of TGV cinema). It imitate the Taiwan famous night food market at Shih Lin. Shih Lin is selling the famous Taiwan Oyster Meesua, Chicken Chop, Seafood Tempura and Egg Crepe. There’re only 4 types of food selling over the stall, but everytime CH visits there, there must be a long queue. The seating place is limited and quite narrow there because it try to imitate the true way of eating culture in Shih Lin night market, and most of the customer is take away.
1) Oyster Meesua – Meesua with sticky oyster soup with 3 oyster and celery. The Oyster is CH’s favourite.
2) Seafood Tempura – The seafood wedges which made of squid, fish and prawn with spicy powder. The mixture of seafood and flour made this stuff chewy and full with seafood taste, and credit gives to the spicy powder.
3) Egg Crepe – Crepe with chicken floss and egg with sweet sauce. The crepe is crispy, milky and butterly. This crispy stuff become perfect after topped with the sweet sauce(similar to kaya).
After this quick but satisfying dinner, CH is looking for some sweetie for dessert. There he sees the Big Apple Doughnut. CH is wondering whether this Big Apple is the same with the J-Co or not since both of them attract quite lot of customer and their packing is similar. CH bought the original and almond doughnut. The crispiness and sweetness of the doughnuts are just nice, and taste excellent. This might be one of the best doughnuts CH tasted. Anyway, CH yet to try out the doughnut @ J-Co.

Final Day in Europe Trip - Brugge & Calais
26 Sept 05...
Today is our very final day for our 16 days europe trip. Today morning after taken cold cold breakfast in Amsterdam, everybody hopped into the bus and heading to our final destination, Calais, Paris, to take the Ferry and go back to England.
Brugge - 51°12'34.63"N 3°13'30.67"E
The very kind tour guide take us to a short trip in Belgium and let us tried out the world famous waffle in Brugge. Hehehe... Actually not much people know about the waffle is famous in Brugge. Once CH reach the waffle shop, he directly go to the counter and bought a waffle with chocolate topping.
After everyone tasted waffle bought by CH, they queue up the wafle counter without any hesitation. Can you imagine how delicious is the waffle? Let's me describe it. The waffle is fresh from oven, is hot, crunchy and full of fragrance of butter and vanilla. After topped with the whipped cream and topping(can choose Chocolate, Toffee, or Strawberry), the waffle is perfect!
"The best waffle I have ever had in my life!" says CH Tan.
Everybody crowding in the waffle shop, hehehe...
One is never enough for the "still-got-rice" CH Tan, he ordered another waffle with toffee topping.
Every country in europe like having festival everyday, this include Brugge. We saw a local band dismiss from a square(dunno what square) and they say hi to us.
The town and street in Brugge is kinda different and special compare to other country in europe. Most of their building is beige/gold coloured, and the road for the car is very small(not many car coming in though.) river and lake are everywhere in the city. And you can easily found a lake with swam. Cutie cutie. It's lie a semi-small-venice.
Calais - 50°57'31.95"N 1°50'59.86"E
After 2 hour bus ride from Brugge to Calais, we are at the Ferry Port already. After small farewell with the 190cm-tour guide, it is time to say good bye... The Lovely Europe. We will come visit you again soon. Hope so..
