Scotland Episode II

6 August 2005....


After The Trio has bad night sleep at Berwick upon Tweed, they woke up in freezing feet and inside the car condensed heavily. With some light rain, the Trio go out to brush their teeth with their hand automatically shaken. Even the Lorry driver passed by also laughing at them. What a pity Trio suffer in coldness of Scotland's weather.

Just about 30 minutes drive, the Truanting Trio(TTT consist of CH, Cher Seng, and Choon Chye, temporary forget about The Thirsty Trio) reach the border of England-Scotland. Can see from the picture how cold is the TTT as they going north of the UK.


Edinburgh - 55deg 56'55'N 3deg11'70'W

Another 1 hour drive, they reach Edinburgh, the Capital of Scotland. Today Edinburgh seem quite early in the morning. May be because it is Sunday. So, the TTT also sluggishly preparing their breakfast, bread toppped with nutte chocolate jam and a can of corn for share. Surprisingly found the coke is chilling without putting it into fridge. Can imagine how cold now?

The TTT walked into the centre of Edinburgh, which getting more and more crowded. Japanese Tourist will be the most after close observation by TTT. Everywhere in the City can see the Edinburgh sight seeing bus.

TTT then go up to the Edinburgh Castle and go to the place the Tattoo show takes lace everyyear. So regret that TTT didn't go in. As what been told by Eddy, there's lot of thing to see inside.

TTT reach the Whiskey selling store which is selling almost every Whiskey available in Scotland. As you all know, Scotland produce most whiskey in the market. That's why if one goes into pub and ask for "Scotch", the bartender will know that he is asking for Whiskey.


As we walked downhill along the Royal, there're lot of Street Artist. Royal Mile in Edinburgh is one of the most famous street for street artist. The street artist perform Still Statue, some of them look exactly like a statue, clown, when u throw them some money, they will make u laugh, Scottish with Bagpipe, and the world famous Japanese physical comedy duo, www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD0MqdYuXA8.

TTT been staying there enjoy the Street Art atmosphere until the sun started to go down. Their next destination, Dundee and St. Andrew.
Talkabout something:
When they moving apart from Edinburgh, unintentionally they pass by the Forth Road/Rail Bridge( 56° 0'29.17"N, 3°23'31.89"W), of which the Forth Rail Bridge built in 1890. As TTT stop by another end of the bridge, they found out that the rail bridge was currently on refurbishing project. They was told by the project worker that the building of the Forth Rail Bridge causing death of 400 workers. Salute to them.
